Many of our guests keep it simple and stay at the Bide for the duration of their stay… spending time soaking up the views from the hottub, making homemade pizza on the Gozney pizza oven, toasting marshmellows on the fire pit, movie nights on the projector, board games & books…

If you’re ready to explore a little further, we have a bounty of options on our doorstep… Wine tours at the Langham vineyard, a 7 minutes driveaway, visit novelist Thomas Hardy’s house 16 minutes drive, book a picnic of homemade goodies for lunch at Sculpture by the Lakes, a 15 minute drive, a 30 minute hike to the village through fields to award winning farm shop, Steepton Bill or The View Coffee Shop for a full English! Drive or hike to Bulbarrow Hill with breathtaking views across 5 counties.

For day trippers, here are our favourites… Dine at Brassica, daily menu, cosy & contemporary bistro, 45 minutes drive. Kimmeridge, wait for a low tide in the summer and bathe on the hot stone ledge, 37 minutes drive. Jamaican bbq served during the summer months at Scott Arms pub, 35 minutes drive. Art in the countryside at Hauser & Wirth, Somerset, 50 minutes drive.
